Over the past century, Cave Shepherd & Co Limited has diversified its business from a traditional department store into new sectors.  In 1996, Cave Shepherd & Co Ltd entered into the financial services sector with the establishment of Fortress Fund Managers Ltd.  The company was created by a partnership with Barbados Shipping & Trading Limited and the Nation Corporation.  Fortress offers to all levels of investors the opportunity to invest in its suite of mutual funds.

Signia Financial Group Inc.

In 2003, Cave Shepherd took a further step in financial services by the launching of Signia Financial Group Inc, a partnership this time with United Insurance Co Limited and Grace Kennedy & Co Limited (Cave Shepherd 40%, United Insurance 20%, Grace Kennedy & Co. Ltd. 40%).  Signia's services include High Interest Call Accounts, Term Deposits, Stock Brokerage, Retirement Planning as well as Personal, Home Equity and Vehicle Loans.

DGM Bank & Trust Inc.

More recently in 2008, Cave Shepherd & Co. Limited acquired 40% in the international business company DGM Bank & Trust Group.  DGM Bank & Trust was established in 1996 and is licensed under Barbados International Financial Legislation.  The company currently has over US$450 Million under management and administration.
