As a public company we strive to support and contribute to the welfare and development of nearly every segment of the Barbadian community.  Recipients of support are determined through a review process involving management staff and the Board of Directors.

From the early days, Cave Shepherd recognised that tourism was vital to Barbados’ future and as a result the company has been at the forefront of many initiatives to support the sector.  Of significance, was its early active involvement in establishing the Tourism Development Corporation, an organisation set up to promote and develop Barbados tourism product locally and internationally. Cave Shepherd continues to contribute a percentage of its pre-tax profits to the Tourism Development Corporation.

Cave Shepherd is a founding member of the Barbados Community Foundation, whose principal objective is to attract funding specifically intended to be used for charitable purposes.  The Barbados Community Foundation sees itself as a “charity of charities” with its main aim to assist all charities and other needy causes which are linked to community affairs in Barbados.  In some cases, requests for sponsorship made to Cave Shepherd may be directed to the Barbados Community Foundation for consideration.
